God’s Working at Grace College

E. Scott Feather, dean of the chapel and global ministries at Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana, has posted on his blog some very touching video from a Grace College chapel service held earlier this week. Here, in his own words, is a little of the background to the “cardboard testimonies.”
God did amazing things at Grace College last week…
We did “cardboard testimonies” – this is not a novel idea, but it seemed to fit our theme of the week which was “What’s Your Story?” We had 28 people ready to share part of their story by walking on stage and telling part of their story, part of the story that God is writing in their lives, without saying a word. These brave students set the stage and provided “space” for the Spirit to move in the lives of the rest of the campus.
Coming into chapel that day, we gave each student an 8″ x8″ piece of cardboard. What you will NOT see in the video below was the response we received from the students… after what you see in the video they starting coming in droves and did not stop coming the full 45 minutes of chapel.
Almost 500 students came forward and laid their “story” at the front, symbolically stating that they are giving their story to God and allowing him to “right the wrongs” in their life. Almost 500 students, we only had a little over 700 in chapel that day. I hope to be able to post some of the footage of the students responding.
What a great week . . . A week like I have not seen at Grace College in my 18 years!
God is good!
