Wooster Church Concerts Scheduled for Next Weekend

The Wooster, Ohio, Grace Brethren Church (Bob Fetterhoff, pastor) is hosting their annual Christmas concert next weekend. Beginning December 11 and continuing through the 13th, the church’s Celebration Choir and Orchestra and Drama Team of Grace with the Children’s Choir will perform First Christmas, a musical including five orginal dramas based on true stories from families in the congregationa and spectacular Christmas music including three original songs written by Randy Moomaw, associate pastor of worship ministries.

Home-grown production depicts ‘first’ Christmases

They decided to go a step further this year, creating their own holiday performance almost from the ground up.

That doesn’t mean the vignettes are invented, however. Each one represents a true story and most of those stories come from within the congregation.

“First Christmas,” to be presented at Wooster Grace Brethren Church next weekend, tells stories of families experiencing change and stress at Christmastime.
